I was born in Hershey, Pennsylvania (where the famous Hershey&#8217;s chocolates are made), and grew up in the State of Missouri. I am a native English speaker, and fluent in Japanese. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Kansas City Art Institute, studying painting and art history.After moving to Japan, I taught roughly 3 years at a children&#8217;s English international school.
